The full programme for SQIFF 2016 has been revealed! We run at venues across Glasgow from Thursday 29 September to Sunday 2 October – check out the full programme of our annual celebration of queer film and media here.
Our opening screening is the Scottish premiere of Strike A Pose, the no-holds-barred documentary about life as a dancer of Madonna’s iconic Blond Ambition tour, whilst our closing film is the raw and breathtakingly honest feature Real Boy, following nineteen year old transman Bennett as he forges his own community.
Throw in some classic and cult queer horror, brand new web series, the best short films from around the world and right here in Scotland, workshops and masterclasses with top industry professionals and two massive inclusive parties from London’s Bar Wotever making their first trip north of the border and local heroes LUYD vs TRYST and SQIFF 2016 is looking bigger and better than ever. Tickets start from just £3 (free for unemployed and asylum seekers) and all workshops are free.
You can book online for all events (excluding parties) here.
