Vacancies: Admin & Events Assistant and Guest Coordinator

Administrative & Events Assistant
Deadline: Wednesday 10th October at 5pm British time
Part-time, temporary contract / Mon 22nd October to Monday 17th December
Fee: £1500

We are looking for someone who is well-organised with good attention to detail to provide admin support and event management assistance to our Festival Coordinator. Experience (paid or voluntary) of working on film and other arts events would be an advantage but we are happy to give training in this. You must have good data entry skills and be reasonably confident communicating with other staff, volunteers, and members of the public.

The post is freelance and part-time with 150 hours to be worked over the contract period. Distribution of hours is flexible and will be worked out with the Festival Coordinator with a concentrated period of work in the week leading up to and during the Festival dates of 5th to 9th December. Evening and weekend work will be required during the Festival.

It is essential that the person we employ is on board with SQIFF’s commitment to equality and improving accessibility to the arts. Understanding and lived experience of LGBTQ+ and/or other marginalised identities would be an advantage.

Guest Coordinator
Deadline: Wednesday 10th October at 5pm British time
Part-time, temporary contract / Mon 22nd October to Monday 17th December
Fee: £1000

We are looking for someone who is well-organised with good attention to detail to coordinate the visits of our Festival guests. Experience (paid or voluntary) of working on guest coordination or similar would be an advantage but we are happy to give training in this. You must be confident communicating with guests and committed to ensuring they have a good experience at SQIFF.

The post is freelance and part-time with 100 hours to be worked over the contract period. Distribution of hours is flexible and will be worked out with the Festival Coordinator with a concentrated period of work in the week leading up to and during the Festival dates of 5th to 9th December. Evening and weekend work will be required during the Festival.
