SQIFF Shorts: Switching Teams

September 30, 2017 @ 1:15 pm - 2:35 pm

A trans woman is pursued by a charming cis man who is not the kind individual he first seems. A trans skater from Sheffield switches roller derby teams in order to live more authentically. A teenager and their traditionally-minded father struggle to find common ground after the former starts questioning their gender identity in rural Ireland. And a young man in Hong Kong documents his personal journey through conversations with family, friends, and God as he connects with his inner self. A variety of stories surveying the trans experience.

Taylor Le Fín and Becki McKechnie, filmmakers of Switching Teams, will be in attendance for a Q&A after the screening. If you require BSL for the Q&A, contact [email protected] to make arrangements.
