SQIFF Queer Filmmakers Group

November 4, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free
CCA hall in front of the Theatre door with a group of people wearing masks and chatting, with two people in the middle hugging.

Are you a queer filmmaker wondering how to access funding and training opportunities? Are you looking for community with other queer filmmakers?

The Queer Filmmakers Group is an initiative bringing local queer filmmakers together for monthly two-hour group sessions to network and support each other in the development of film projects. This session has been set up in partnership with Short Circuit, who will be screening Living With It, an animation short developed as part of their Sharp Shorts funding scheme. The event will include a Q&A with talent executive Miriam Newman and Holly Summerson, the director of Living With It.

The group is open for any level of filmmaking and we really encourage people just starting out in the medium to come along.

Session (5/12)

Supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Tickets are FREE. To book, click here
