Free Pride Fundraiser: The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson

August 10, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:45 pm

£5

Who killed Marsha P. Johnson? When the beloved, self-described “street queen” of New York’s Christopher Street died in 1992, the NYPD called her death a suicide. Protests erupted but the police remained impassive and refused to investigate. Now, twenty-five years on, documentary The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson examines Marsha’s death and her extraordinary life.

ACCESS: Level access at entrance of CCA with lift up to first floor for Theatre space. Accessible toilets available. English language with English captions.

Content note: discussion of violence, sexual assault, and suicide.

This event is a fundraiser for Free Pride 2017. No need to book – just show up on the night and we will be taking donations on the door – suggested donation £5. We also welcome people to hang out in the CCA bar afterwards for informal chat about the film.
