About Talent: Cal Mowatt is a filmmaker based in Edinburgh, working as a writer, director, editor, and performer. They run Neon Eye Productions, a queer film production company that produces short films and video content, as well as capturing live theatre, particularly during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. They hold an MA (Hons) in philosophy from the University of Edinburgh, which they draw on to explore philosophical ideas in their filmmaking, particularly around existentialism, queerness, and transformation, with a focus trans characters and stories. They are interested in non-hierarchical, DIY, community-focused, and collective approaches to film production.
