SUMMARY:Queer Women in Love: Go Fish (Dundee)
DESCRIPTION:Max is a too-cool-for-school young lesbian woman stressing over the fact she hasn’t had sex for ten months. After first dismissing hippy\, excessive drinker of tea Ely\, Max goes on a date with her\, leading to a long-term mutual infatuation and a ‘will they\, won’t they’ romantic trajectory. Dyketactics by Barbara Hammer is a sensuous\, bold look at women’s desire and sexuality from a seminal lesbian filmmaker. Summer\, 1987 by Krissy Mahan is set in summer in the late 1980s when a baby dyke has landed in a gay resort town during the AIDS crisis. She plays softball\, goes clubbing\, sleeps with lots of women\, and learns about who she is and what she wants. \n\nPresented with Dundee University Feminist Society. \n\nRated 18. \nFree. SUMMARY:Queer Women in Love: Something Must Break (Dundee)
DESCRIPTION:Shy Sebastian is in the process of working out their gender identity when they meet and fall for rebellious Andreas. Trans-identifying director Ester Martin Bergsmark’s (She Male Snails) first fictional feature is a visually stunning and emotionally intense look at romance and eroticism through the eyes of a young queer person. \nScreening with short films Fingers and Dinner For Two. Fingers by Sandra Alland features a British Sign Language (BSL) poetry performance by Alison Smith about love\, longing\, and the sexiness of touch. Dinner For Two by Ami Nashimoto is a super cute musical in which a woman stresses over preparing something suitable and vaguely edible for her vegan\, gluten-free-diet date. \nPresented together with Dundee University Feminist Society. We are pleased Fingers‘ director Sandra Alland and writer and star Alison Smith will join us for a Q&A. \nRated 18. \nContent note: depiction of transphobia\, including slightly graphic transphobic violence; ambiguous scenes of sexual humiliation.\n \nFree.
