DESCRIPTION:This programme is a fun look into older queer narratives. Looking Back with Pride is a short documentary centered around queer and trans individuals in their 60s and 70s reflecting on their memories of coming out and the remarkable changes they’ve witnessed in their lifetimes. Keyboard Fantasies presents the time-travelling tale of Beverly Glenn-Copeland\, a transgender\, septuagenarian musical genius\, as the present finally catches up with him and he embarks on his first international tour at the age of 74. Capturing five decades of relentless musical output and shifting manifestations of gender and sexual identity\, set against a backdrop of profound social change\, the film celebrates the unpredictable rhythms of life. \nChris Stuart Wilson and India Boxall from Luminate and Indigo Korres\, Festival Coordinator\, and Nat Lall\, curator at SQIFF will lead the event. This session will be used to discuss intersectional identities and their influence in filmmaking. Who I Am Now follows a conversation between two teammates\, Tariq and Denise\, talking about their trans refugee identities and sharing their stories about friends and family. No Hard Feelings presents a love story between Parvis\, the son of exiled Iranians\, and Amon who has fled Iran and is seeking asylum in Germany with his sister.
