SQIFF 2016 Trailer Commission

SQIFF is back in 2016 with its second edition taking place 29th September to 2nd October in Glasgow! We are again offering a £500 commission for someone to make our Festival trailer and want you to send in your pitches.

To be eligible you must be based in Scotland. Otherwise, we are open to all and any ideas that fit SQIFF’s image and ethos. You can spend the money on whatever you like – it might be used to pay for props or equipment hire etc. or you could pay yourself or any collaborators a fee.

The finished trailer should be no longer than 60 seconds and must be delivered by Monday 5th September. Any dialogue or essential sound must have subtitles or captions for D/deaf and hard of hearing access.

Send your pitches to helen@sqiff.org outlining your idea, how you will spend the £500, and a little bit about your background as a filmmaker/artist/person. You don’t necessarily need to have any specific experience as you may choose to employ someone else to do the tech stuff but please make it clear how you intend to carry out the filmmaking process.

The deadline for sending your pitch is Friday 22th July at 5pm.
