More SQIFF 2016 Events Announced!

We’ve three more exciting SQIFF 2016 events to whet your appetite ahead of our big programme reveal on the 26th August!

We’re delighted to be screening Derek Jarman’s first feature film Sebastiane at new SQIFF venue Glasgow Film Theatre on Sunday 2nd October. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, Jarman’s most enduringly (and endearingly) erotic work queers the Christian myth of St Sebastiane, telling the story of the famous soldier condemned for his beliefs and pacifism and stripped of his military rank – and eventually everything else.

We’ll also be returning to the wonderful Glasgow Women’s Library with Braw Butches on Saturday 1st October, a tender, funny and heartwarming afternoon of films exploring butch-identifying women.

Plus there’s a new addition to our Queer Horror strand with arguably ‘the gayest horror movie ever made’ – the irresistible camp-fest that is A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge.

Don’t forget – this year we also have SQIFF-tastic 4 Day Festival Passes, giving you access to everything at the festival. To book, click here.
