SQIFF Shorts: Daddies

Why is making an emotional connection with your father so hard, especially for queer men? In Bleach, trans man Jay sets out in search of Shane, his estranged father and macho boxing gym owner. Dads sees 20-something Scott finding his Sunday morning hangover interrupted by unexpected visits from both his father and older lover. Noam, a young gay guy, discovers his recently deceased father had a secret affair with another married man in Heritage. Boys in the Street #pride brings to life Greg Holden’s song of the same name about a lost and found connection between father and son.
