I Do?: Fire (Glasgow)

December 13, 2015 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

£4

Sita (Nandita Das) and Radha (Shabana Azmi) are both stuck in loveless marriages. While Sita is trapped in an arranged relationship with her cruel and unfaithful husband, Jatin, Radha is married to his brother, Ashok, who is strongly religious and believes in suppressing sexual desire. As the two women bond over their shared situation, they grow closer and their friendship develops into something deeper than they anticipated. A meditation on misogyny in marriage and the radical potential of queer love.

Rated 15.
